Random Thoughts #2

I should get a notebook to organize my thoughts. Random stuff happens all the time, and most of the time, I forget to blog/post it. It’s not really interesting, just a way to get it out of my thoughts. And you should wonder why this post is in the “Random Rants” category. You see, even my sentences doesn’t make sense. It’s all random, I tell you. Random #1

  • Already finished 4 of 7 J-doramas I’m currently watching. By tomorrow I should finish Proposal Daisakusen.
  • Is Yamashita Tomohisa (山下智久) that popular actor in Japan? I’ve already seen him in four J-doramas. That includes (1) Kurosagi, with Horikita Maki, (2) Nobuta wo Produce, again with Horikita Maki, (3) Proposal Daisakusen, and (4) Dragon Zakura. I should ask the girls that question.
  • I feel frustrated about not being able to play Audition Online. I haven’t been able to play that game for a couple of days now. And just yesterday, I applied another major patch but my game won’t run. I guess it’s a way of telling me to quit playing.
  • I haven’t acquired the three badges from PMOG to which I’ve already complete the requirements in more than a month. And I also lost the alpha badge.
  • I’m thinking of getting a 4×4x4 Rubik’s cube or a 5×5x5 Rubik’s cube. Since I’ve already mastered the regular 3×3x3 Rubik’s cube, it seems too boring to solve it. And now almost everybody can solve it, of at least trying to. I’ve seen people from all ages in different places holding a Rubik’s cube. The 5×5x5 cube costs around 600 php at National Bookstore, and as for the 4×4x4 I haven’t seen one yet. There’s also that 2×2x2 cube, for around 200 php.
  • And what’s with people hanging stuff around their neck. If you are one, don’t flame me for this post ok. There are more and more people hanging cellphone around their neck. Small ones are somewhat acceptable, but not large smartphones. You, yes you the guy/babe with a N90 or SE P990. This reminds me of a time while I was walking towards the gate at our subdivision. I saw a guy (definitely a guy) with a cellphone dangling around his neck. His phone was small, which is ok, but the worst part of it is his phone’s keychain. It was a bear, not just an ordinary bear, but a bear larger than the phone itself. I tried to keep my poker face as I passed by him, and said to myself, “WTF was that”.
  • Oh and don’t even think of hanging your PSP or Nintendo DS. I’ve seen a few of this roaming around malls. Don’t try bragging you have a unit that cost around 11k, you just look stupid with a sign, please make me a victim of a hold-up. Oh and while your at it, why don’t you hang your laptop too so you will look like a pabitin.
  • I’m also wondering where are all the traffic from my 2nd most commented post coming from. But I’m not complaining, thanks guys and gals. I think the commenter’s there are mostly girls, based on the replies.
  • Playboy is already here in the Philippines. Yey! Playboy Philippines. It’s much more tamer than FHM. Boo! What’s the point of calling it Playboy, if it isn’t Playboy.
  • Philippines TV hostess and soap actress Ira Eigenmann has a leaked nude photo scandal. That’s according to various adult related sources which unfortunately I couldn’t link here. How come I always read news like this first from an International source, when I’m already here in the Philippines. I’ve already seen the photos, and I can rate it to a scale of 8.5/10.
  • And lastly. How come I wasn’t born in Japan? Answer to that in the next post.

N2S: I should get a notebook or anything to write on. And a good pen too.

Ciao.

Random Thoughts #1

This post is a start for a series of posts that are… random… or anything that comes into mind. I was thinking of a post like this last night, while I was on a long journey back home in a bus. Although I’m tired and somewhat sleepy, random thoughts filled my mind. Here are some that I remembered since last night:

  • If you are looking for cheap but high quality (small) anime figurines here in the Philippines, visit Toy Kingdom (in SM malls). Comic Alley is a good anime shop, but Toy Kingdom has much more figurines on sale than the former. While Comic Alley is usually filled with “common” animes like Naruto, Bleach, Tsubasa Chronicles, and endless hordes of Pokemon; Toy Kingdom has those anime which are not usually popular except for those true anime fans (and otakus).
  • And while on the subject of toys. Why do they call those toys that you need to assemble first then put it up in your display case, 4D? I mean it’s just 3D right? Why the 4D title?
  • Here in the Philippines, and contrary to popular belief, the fastest land based transportation (except trains) are the ordinary buses. Not those air conditioned ones, but those with open windows and the doors are at the middle part of the body. Mixed emotions and feelings are usually encountered while riding this land (to air) based transport. I’ve seen smiles on peoples faces that are on the rush to get to their destination. I’ve seen tears by an old lady at the back fearing for her life to end in this thrill-of-a-ride transportation. I’ve also seen angry men at the front shouting out loud that they have to get off the bus because their destination has a already passed a couple of blocks away. So if you are in a hurry and are passing through commonwealth or EDSA, just hop in an ordinary bus and be prepared to be blown away.
  • As a side note for above. I only ride ordinary buses in ‘extreme’ situations, like when it’s already early dawn. Because I don’t really like dirt in my face and pollution in my lungs.
  • A couple of years ago jeepney fares are much cheaper than aircon buses. Now it’s almost opposite. An example would be from SM Fairview (Quezon City) to Pleasant Hills Subd. (Bulacan). In a regular jeepney you pay 11 pesos, but in an aircon bus you only pay 10 pesos. One peso cheaper, with added aircon for a cool ride.

So there. This is the first of many randomness you may encounter in this blog.
