Laptop, website, work, J-dorama, updates, there’s no more free time for me

I haven’t posted much this week because of busy schedules and too many pending tasks. Even my weekends are fully booked.

Two Sunday’s ago, my girlfriend wanted me to look at her brand new Compaq laptop (forgot the model). It wasn’t broken, but she wants me to cleanup the system. She already know how organized I am with my files on my computer, and I remove completely anything that I don’t use. Less garbage, less memory and space hogs. The laptop’s OS is Microsoft Vista. I haven’t have enough experience in using that system, and besides I really don’t like Vista (bugs). That’s why if you’ve noticed, Vista tips from my Life Tips posts are suddenly increasing.

Two Saturday’s ago, the whole barkada got another sort of reunion because of the birthday celebration of Alysson (Aldrin’s daughter). Everyone of the original part of the barkada was there, well except of course Mike (who’s already back in Canada), and Jerrue was late to arrive because he came from work. The party was fun, at least for kids anyway. It was a kiddie party.

And hey, here is Kid McDo, yep that’s the actual name of the mascot. I’ve been wondering why the need for a McDo mascot when Ronald is just a clown, and you can just put a guy in a clown suit to represent him.

Nagasawa, Masami

One student that stood out from the J-dorama, Dragon Zakura, was Mizuno Naomi played by Nagasawa Masami. I already had my fill of school dramas, but I endured watching the series because of her. She acts just like the way her character should be. However, after finishing the series, I’ve already forgotten all about her.

(screencaps from Proposal Daisakusen)

The second time I saw her was at the popular series, Proposal Daisakusen (Operation Love). You will first encounter her wearing a bridal dress and getting ready to get married. At first I didn’t realized it was her, not until I saw her profile at Jdorama.com. She starred for the second time with Yamashita Tomohisa on this series (both of them are also at the school drama, Dragon Zakura). Although I have to admit that she is much cuter on the ‘time-slip’ portions of the series, rather than at the present time when she is already getting married.

And now it’s time for introductions…

Nagasawa Masami

Nagasawa Masami (長澤まさみ) born on June 3, 1987 in Iwata, Shizuoka. She has performed in many famous movies and television dramas including Crying out Love, In the Center of the World, Nada Sousou, Dragon Zakura and Proposal Daisakusen. She graduated from Horikoshi High School in 2006. She is also known as “Ma-chan”. She is the daughter of Kazuaki Nagasawa, former manager of the J. League team Júbilo Iwata.

Nagasawa Masami

She won Best Actress in the 11th Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix (Apr-June 07) for the series Proposal Daisakusen. In Summer 2007, Masami was ranked 9th in 2007 Most Influential People In Japan, the order is as follow: Kimura Takuya, Kitano Takeshi, Suzuki Ichiro, Matsui Hideki, Mino Monta, Akashiya Sanma, Katori Shingo, Matsuzaka Daisuke, Nagasawa Masami, Nakai Masahiro, according to magazine Flash. She is also the only female on the ranking.

Peach, fan made birthday present to Maki

Here is a fan made video created as a birthday present (last year, 2007) for Horikita Maki. It features the Hana Kimi (Japan) ending theme soundtrack Peach by Otsuka Ai. The video is a mash up of various appearances of Maki from game shows and TV shows. The video also includes some behind the scenes from the TV series which she appeared such as; Nobuta wo Produce, Kurosagi, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, and others.

Enjoy the vid.

Random Thoughts #2

I should get a notebook to organize my thoughts. Random stuff happens all the time, and most of the time, I forget to blog/post it. It’s not really interesting, just a way to get it out of my thoughts. And you should wonder why this post is in the “Random Rants” category. You see, even my sentences doesn’t make sense. It’s all random, I tell you. Random #1

  • Already finished 4 of 7 J-doramas I’m currently watching. By tomorrow I should finish Proposal Daisakusen.
  • Is Yamashita Tomohisa (山下智久) that popular actor in Japan? I’ve already seen him in four J-doramas. That includes (1) Kurosagi, with Horikita Maki, (2) Nobuta wo Produce, again with Horikita Maki, (3) Proposal Daisakusen, and (4) Dragon Zakura. I should ask the girls that question.
  • I feel frustrated about not being able to play Audition Online. I haven’t been able to play that game for a couple of days now. And just yesterday, I applied another major patch but my game won’t run. I guess it’s a way of telling me to quit playing.
  • I haven’t acquired the three badges from PMOG to which I’ve already complete the requirements in more than a month. And I also lost the alpha badge.
  • I’m thinking of getting a 4×4x4 Rubik’s cube or a 5×5x5 Rubik’s cube. Since I’ve already mastered the regular 3×3x3 Rubik’s cube, it seems too boring to solve it. And now almost everybody can solve it, of at least trying to. I’ve seen people from all ages in different places holding a Rubik’s cube. The 5×5x5 cube costs around 600 php at National Bookstore, and as for the 4×4x4 I haven’t seen one yet. There’s also that 2×2x2 cube, for around 200 php.
  • And what’s with people hanging stuff around their neck. If you are one, don’t flame me for this post ok. There are more and more people hanging cellphone around their neck. Small ones are somewhat acceptable, but not large smartphones. You, yes you the guy/babe with a N90 or SE P990. This reminds me of a time while I was walking towards the gate at our subdivision. I saw a guy (definitely a guy) with a cellphone dangling around his neck. His phone was small, which is ok, but the worst part of it is his phone’s keychain. It was a bear, not just an ordinary bear, but a bear larger than the phone itself. I tried to keep my poker face as I passed by him, and said to myself, “WTF was that”.
  • Oh and don’t even think of hanging your PSP or Nintendo DS. I’ve seen a few of this roaming around malls. Don’t try bragging you have a unit that cost around 11k, you just look stupid with a sign, please make me a victim of a hold-up. Oh and while your at it, why don’t you hang your laptop too so you will look like a pabitin.
  • I’m also wondering where are all the traffic from my 2nd most commented post coming from. But I’m not complaining, thanks guys and gals. I think the commenter’s there are mostly girls, based on the replies.
  • Playboy is already here in the Philippines. Yey! Playboy Philippines. It’s much more tamer than FHM. Boo! What’s the point of calling it Playboy, if it isn’t Playboy.
  • Philippines TV hostess and soap actress Ira Eigenmann has a leaked nude photo scandal. That’s according to various adult related sources which unfortunately I couldn’t link here. How come I always read news like this first from an International source, when I’m already here in the Philippines. I’ve already seen the photos, and I can rate it to a scale of 8.5/10.
  • And lastly. How come I wasn’t born in Japan? Answer to that in the next post.

N2S: I should get a notebook or anything to write on. And a good pen too.

Ciao.
