Someday and Dream

Finally I’ve uploaded to YouTube the 2 AMVs (Anime Music Videos) that I’ve created a couple of years ago. Both videos are originally encoded in MPEG format with a high quality settings. But I re-encoded it to a smaller AVI (I used XviD codec) video then I uploaded it to YouTube, so the quality maybe a little bit degraded.

I also included the original text info I provided on the world premier of these videos. You can also check out my profile at Animemusicvideos.org where I originally placed a download link for the video.

Here is the second AMV I’ve created…

Title: Someday
Created: Feb. 27, 2006
World Premier: Feb. 27, 2006
Time: 4:17
Genre: Romance
Video: Psychic Academy (Aura Banshou)
Music (OPM): Someday - Barbie’s Cradle
Video Editor: Ulead VideoStudio 8.0 SE DVD
Credits Editor: SWiSHmax

My second attempt in making an AMV, after 5yrs. It still looks like an amateur video, but the quality and the audio I’ve used are quite nice. The music used for this is an OPM (Original Pinoy Music) but the music lyrics is in english. The soundtrack I’ve used was inspired after watching the whole series and the song just came to mind.

And the first AMV I’ve created after the gap

AMV converter, convert video to AMV

NOTE: AMV is another acronym that means Anime Music Videos. This post is not about anime videos but is about the AMV video format that most Asian MP4 players use. If your MP4/MP3 player is made in China, Taiwan, or any other Asian related country (not sure about Japan), chances are it usually plays video that must be in AMV format.

AMV (also known as MTV) is a proprietary video file format, produced for use in Chinese MP3/MP4/MTV Players, particularly the S1 MP3 Players. Note that despite the word “MP4″ in the marketing description of several such players, this is not an MP4 or Moving Picture Experts Group file format. [wiki]

The reason I posted this is because I encounter a lot of people looking (I was one back then) for AMV converters. I got the software after I bought a Taiwan (?) made MP4/MP3 player. It doesn’t play the standard MP4 video format, but it plays AMV videos.

You can download the AMV converter at the following sources:
Rapidshare.com
