Long ago when the Internet was still young, most people interact with each other through the use of newsgroups. Back then they use these newsgroups as a way of exchanging information and also as a means to communicate ideas. Then internet chat was developed. IRC (Internet Relay Chat), was one of the oldest forms of chatting. Until today it is still used by many people connected to the net. In today’s internet technology web 2.0 is the in-thing. This new technology helps connect people from around the globe with the help of dynamic websites. These websites allow people to create profiles of themselves. It also enables them to share their photos, files, and various other resources among their friends, and also to other people they barely knew. These social networking tools helps people keep in touch with each other. Unlike chat rooms, these tools keeps people connected even if they are offline.
