Steps to open an EON Card from Unionbank, and used it for Paypal.
- Bring a photocopy of 2 valid ID’s (SSS, TIN, Passport, Company ID, etc) and at least Php 350.
- Go to any Unionbank branch, and ask to open an EON Card account
- Claim your card after five (5) working days. You will be given a paper to sign, and they will activate the card within 24 hours.
- After one day, go to any Unionbank branch, and deposit at least Php 300. While you are there, change your initial ATM PIN and verify if the amount you deposited is in your EON Card account.
- Visit www.unionbankph.com and click on EON Cyber Account.
- Register your card there, and wait at least 2-3 days for it to activate.
- After 2-3 days, login to EON Cyber Account to verify if you succeeded in activating your account. You will also receive an email notification if your account is activated.
- Register to Paypal and add your EON Card to verify your PayPal account. You will receive an email for instructions in getting your code.
- After 4-5 days, contact the Unionbank Customer Service Call Center and ask for your 4-digit PayPal expanded use code.
- Login to your PayPal account and click on the verify link and enter your 4 digit code.
- That’s it your EON Card is now linked to your PayPal account

Hi thanks for your informative post! I just got done with step 5 and I was wondering is it possible to receive money with an unverified paypal account?
I just recently won some money on a crowdsourcing site and their system is they let you choose an option to receive your winnings and one of the options is to send it to your paypal account.
But mine is still not verified will I still receive my money even if my paypal isn’t verified at the moment?

Hi. I’m not really sure about your question since I didn’t go over the process of receiving money thru Paypal while not being verified.
Though, I’m guessing, that you can receive the money to your Paypal account, but not withdraw it yet because your card isn’t verified on Paypal. It’s just a guess.
Thanks for the reply, I didn’t pull the trigger on the unverified thing, I thought I’d wait it out until my account was verified. It’s better to be safe than sorry. I wasn’t that strapped for cash just yet so it’s all good.

opo kailan. ang purpose lang naman nun ay para ma verify yung Unionbank mo at ma-link sa Paypal. Bale mga 100 pesos yata mababawas sa Unionbank at malilipat sa Paypal. Pero after nun, pwede mo pa rin naman ulit ma withdraw yung pera.
ahm ano pipiliin ko sa CLIENT TYPE: individual? VISA Electron, Payroll o Others? pasensya na baguhan lang eh.. thanks!

individual po at yung Unionbank EON card ay Visa.
hi..confused prin po ako..i got my card now the eon card i just got it yesterday po..then i try to link my card sa ub site but it failed me ang sbi s kin “enter a valid card number or a user id” how come they told me like that? im surely put the right card number i have.. why like this po? do you know possible reason with this? and one more thing poh.. do i really need to register my card to the eon ub link?…hope to hear back.. ty.!

na try mo po i-enter yung maliliit na numbers sa bandang baba nun malaking number sa card?
wala pong space dapat, at dire-diretso
saka dapat after 24 hours after mo ma activate yung card, bago mo ma register yun sa site nila.
and yes, dapat po i register yung card sa site nila kung gagamitin mo yung paypal sa unionbank eon.

hindi ko po sigurado kung pwede. pwede nyo po tawagan yung customer support ng Unionbank regarding that.
tanong ko lang kung paano mag log in sa eon cycber account kasi di ako maka pasok palaging may lumalabas na “”please enter a valid card number or user id “” pero tama naman yung nilalagay ko at na enroll ko na sya ?
