Laptop, website, work, J-dorama, updates, there’s no more free time for me
I haven’t posted much this week because of busy schedules and too many pending tasks. Even my weekends are fully booked.
Two Sunday’s ago, my girlfriend wanted me to look at her brand new Compaq laptop (forgot the model). It wasn’t broken, but she wants me to cleanup the system. She already know how organized I am with my files on my computer, and I remove completely anything that I don’t use. Less garbage, less memory and space hogs. The laptop’s OS is Microsoft Vista. I haven’t have enough experience in using that system, and besides I really don’t like Vista (bugs). That’s why if you’ve noticed, Vista tips from my Life Tips posts are suddenly increasing.
Two Saturday’s ago, the whole barkada got another sort of reunion because of the birthday celebration of Alysson (Aldrin’s daughter). Everyone of the original part of the barkada was there, well except of course Mike (who’s already back in Canada), and Jerrue was late to arrive because he came from work. The party was fun, at least for kids anyway. It was a kiddie party.
And hey, here is Kid McDo, yep that’s the actual name of the mascot. I’ve been wondering why the need for a McDo mascot when Ronald is just a clown, and you can just put a guy in a clown suit to represent him.

I’ve also been doing two websites for a client. I have finished one, but I’m still finishing up the second. My free time is filled by doing this task, so as you’ve guessed, I haven’t posted any updates at this blog or at Tambayan.ph. Also, I’ve officially started working in an office again last Wednesday. So I have less time to finish everything up. I really need those extra hours and time management.
Another thing that’s I’ve been doing during my free-free-time (that’s the free rest time I have when I’m done using up my free time. confusing?) is watching another batch of J-dorama. I just got it from my cousin last Sunday, and I’ve only finished one title just last night.
The titles are:
- Bijo ka Yajuu / The Beauty or the Beast / Kiss? or Fight? (2003)
- Koori no sekai / Ice world / Inanimate world (1999)
- Konna koi no hanashi / A story of love (1997). This is the title I just finished watching. The synopsis on the linked website is just wrong. This darma is aimed for mature viewers, I don’t know for teens. The story is kinda dragging. But maybe because that’s how J-doramas looked like 10 years ago. I rate it 4/10. Just a quick trivia, the Philippines Times newspaper and our county’s capital, Manila, was mentioned on the first episode of the series.
All these titles star Matsushima Nanako. Here is a screencap I got from Konna koi. That was shown in 1997, so that’s what she looks like 10 years ago.

For Filipino viewers, you’ve probably seen her at a J-dorama shown here locally. She appeared in Hana Yori Dango and Great Teacher Onizuka.
Hopefully, I will still have enough free time to watch this, or I may have finish the last two titles after June. I’ll just have to queue enough scheduled posts for this blog and at Tambayan.ph to last until next Sunday.

I’d better cut this short and get going, I still have a baptismal to attend to. You see, I’m fully booked for this week. Ja ne.
